What Should Low Carb Vegan Meal Plan Contain?

A vegan diet is fairly restrictive as it does not allow for the consumption of animal sourced products as well. Vegans therefore tend to consume too many carbohydrates which could put a different sort of strain on their bodies. Therefore it may be beneficial to consume low carb vegan meals. Foods such as fresh vegetables, beans, legumes and tofu should be part of the low carb diet recipes for vegans. These food items are all full of nutrients and help to provide the body with plenty of nutrition for the various tasks and functions performed by it. It is important to balance the diet so that all food groups are covered effectively.

How Low Carb Diet Cause Weight Loss?

Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for the human body. A low carb diet will lead to a situation where the body does not have enough fuel to produce energy. In such a situation, the body will have to burn fat to produce energy. It is this process by which the low carb diet for weight loss actually works. One must take some precaution while consuming low carb diet foods to lose fat. At no point should the patient suffer from excessively low blood sugar as this can lead to diminished consciousness. It is far healthier to follow a balanced diet with exercise to lose weight.

What Are The Effects Of High Protein Low Carb Diet?

Carbohydrates are the main source of energy in the human body. Consuming high protein low carb foods will lead to a situation where the body has to burn fat for energy. This is good when one wishes to lose weight. However, a sudden change to a high protein low carb diet will bring its own health problems. The body may suffer from a number of health problems because there is an excess strain on it. Kidney problems are common for people who consume excess amounts of protein without balancing the diet in a healthy and effective manner. The permanent state of ketosis will also harm other organs of the body.

Low carb diet

A low carb diabetic diet is also slowly gaining popularity. Most doctors advise their diabetic patients to follow a low carb diet so that blood glucose can remain under control. Still, a low carb diet does not mean that you completely eliminate any traces of carbohydrates from your diet. It simply means that you reduce the amount of carbohydrates that you consume everyday, or exchange simple carbohydrates with complex carbohydrates and roughage.
Low carb diets, which discourage the consumption of fruits as well as vegetables, are not considered to be the best alternatives. In fact, any low carb diet information which disregards the consumption of fruits and vegetables should be immediately discarded. The non starchy vegetables are not only low on carbohydrates, but are also excellent sources of various nutrients and micronutrients which are otherwise difficult to obtain.
Most diet consultants recommend replacing simple carbohydrates with complex carbohydrates so that you continue to receive roughage in your diet. Since fiber remains undigested, it can help reduce the impact of sugars and glucose on the blood. The low carb diets which contain lots of animal fats and proteins are also considered to be good for health as long as appropriate amounts of roughage are included in the diet.
There is also a popular belief that a low carb diet can damage the kidneys; however this has not been proven beyond all doubt. People who have trouble with their kidneys are encouraged to consume a low protein diet since proteins can damage kidneys. It is important for people with kidney disorders to consume a diet which is not excessively high or low in carbohydrates as well as proteins. Such people can consume complex carbohydrates, fruits, and vegetables.
Low carb diets are not always high in proteins and therefore all the disorders that are associated with a high protein diet, are not automatically associated with a low carb diet as well. For those who are susceptible to kidney disorders and osteoporosis or other degenerative bone disorders, it is advised that proteins should be consumed in moderation.

Balanced Diet, Health And Nutrition

A balanced diet comprising of diverse and healthy foods is key to promoting good health. After all, we are what we eat - Research continues to prove that eating healthy food promotes good health and unhealthy food habits lead to a diseased body. Foods contain vital nutrients that aid our body’s metabolic function. However, a lack of consumption of these nutrients or feeding upon the wrong kinds of food leads to an accumulation of toxins within the body, resulting in chronic diseases in the long run.
A nutritious diet while ensuring overall well being, helps to maintain a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI), reduces the risk of several debilitating diseases like cancer, cardiovascular ailments, diabetes, osteoporosis and stroke. Thus a nutritious & healthy diet is important in the prevention and cure of various diseases.
Diet for diseases
There are several health conditions that can be caused or aggravated by the food we eat. However, there are also several foods that you can include in your diet to help prevent or treat diseases. It is simplest to draw up a balanced diet chart as this will ensure that you get all the nutrients you require on a regular basis. A nutrition diet chart is a diet chart that helps you to keep a track of your nutritional diet requirements and is a very useful tool when drawing up a personalized diet plan.

Heart diseases: Coronary heart diseases are a very common health problem and they are closely linked to a diet that is high in unhealthy fats. Decreasing one’s intake of fatty foods, especially fried food, will go a long way in preventing heart diseases. On the other hand, a healthy diet chart with an adequate amount of high fiber foods is seen to prevent heart diseases. People who suffer from heart problems are often advised to follow a specific high fiber diet for heart diseases that is rich in raw fruits and vegetables.

Diabetes: While genetics does play an important role in the onset of diabetes, an unhealthy lifestyle and bad eating habits are also contributing factors. A diabetes diet chart is a diet plan that is high in fiber and low in fat with a minimum amount of saturated fats. A Vegan diet is very effective in controlling this problem.

Anemia: Anemia is generally caused by nutritional deficiencies and is most commonly associated with a diet that is low in iron. Iron rich foods such as green leafy vegetables should be included in a diet for anemia.

In addition to these diseases, conditions such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, gout, and even cancer are affected by the individual’s diet. There are several diet plans such as the Alkaline Acid Diet plan, the Low Glycemic Index diet and the DASH diet plan that are meant to treat specific medical conditions.

Healthy Food Groups
Since no single food group can nourish the body with all the vital ingredients it requires, it is important that we consume a variety of healthy foods to derive the nutrition our body needs. There are five main food groups, they are:

• Fruits

• Vegetables
• Cereals and Pulses
• Dairy
• Poultry, Fish and Meat products
A healthy balanced diet of these five food groups ensures essential vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. The food group serving size will depend upon various factors like age, activity level, body size and gender. It is also important that one eat a variety of healthy foods from within and across the food groups. As some foods from within a food group provide more nutrients than others. This will ensure that one gets the maximum recommended nutrition from the food group; besides the food variety will make for an interesting meal.
Diet for weight loss
Problems related to excessive weight gain are commonplace as we tend to lead a sedentary lifestyle and have unhealthy eating habits. People with excessive weight gain often try to crash diet in the hope of obtaining a svelte figure. However, this type of a restrictive diet chart for weight loss is extremely unhealthy and not easy to stick to and so the individual succumbs to temptation and goes back to his/her unhealthy eating habits. The cycle of repeated trial and failure can leave the individual disillusioned and finally the person stops trying to lose weight. However, a simple and easy weight loss diet chart can work wonders for overweight and obese people. It is best to follow a daily diet chart as this will help you to stick to your diet. In order to balance a diet chart, it is important to take into account your physical activity levels as a person who exercises daily will have a higher calorie need as compared to a person who leads a sedentary lifestyle.

You can include healthy snacks in your daily diet charts as this will allow you to snack without having to worry about excessive weight gain. It is important to have realistic goals and dieticians often suggest that overweight individuals should not concentrate on weight loss but rather try to follow a healthy diet plan. Once a person has decided that sticking to a healthy diet chart on a daily basis is their main goal, they will not unnecessarily fret over their progress in terms of weight loss. This will allow a person to lose weight at a steady pace with a higher chance of sticking to their diet plan. Once an individual has lost a considerable amount of weight, they can then use a follow-up diet chart to ensure that the weight loss is permanent. Keep in mind that a healthy balanced diet will lead to a slimmer and healthier you!
In conclusion, it must be noted that allopathic medicine treats the symptoms rather than the root cause of the disease, which is usually caused by wrong eating habits leading to an accumulation of toxins within the system. Whereas a nutritious healthy diet can rectify underlying causes of diseases and restore one to wholeness of mind and body. Once we realize the connection between a wholesome balanced diet and good health, our food will be our medicine and maintaining good health will be a matter of making the right food choices and leading a healthy lifestyle.

More About Gastritis & gastritis diet -
Gastritis is an infection or mild irritation of the stomach lining. As a result of this, the mucosa or stomach lining gets inflamed. When the inflammation is sudden and severe it is known as acute gastritis and when it persists for a long time it known as chronic gastritis. Following a gastritis diet can help you get relief from gastritis in the long run. Here are a few simple tips you can keep in mind to get relief from gastritis.

A gastritis diet which includes coconut water is an excellent remedy. It will not only give your stomach the required rest but will also provide the necessary minerals and vitamins. A gastritis diet of coconut water for the first 24 hours will help your stomach return to its normal condition.
The juice of the potato also helps relieve gastritis. Drink half a cup of the juice twice or thrice daily prior to your meals as a cure for chronic gastritis.

A diet for gastritis should foods that can be easily digested. Opt for foods which are high in fiber such as vegetables, fruits, cereals, and whole grain. Chilies and red pepper should be avoided. Skimmed milk and dairy products which are low fat are helpful in controlling the secretion of acid.

Seasoning in your gastroenteritis diet should be limited. Cut back on the intake of seasoning such as garlic, onion, cloves and cinnamon in your food. These increase the discomfort that is related to heartburn.
A gastritis cure and treatment depends on what the cause of the problem is. Sometimes acute gastritis results from increased alcohol consumption and certain medication such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Stopping intake of alcohol and these drugs will provide relief.
A diet for gastritis sufferers involves eating food that is steamed and soft. Toast and cooked cereals work great for those suffering from gastritis. Salt intake should be reduced as it works as an irritant.

As per gastritis diet recommendations you can include the following foods in your diet. Chicken, turkey, tender meat, seafood, peanut butter, tofu, cottage cheese, soft boiled or scrambled eggs, potatoes, rice gruel, and coconut water are some of the foods that you can include in your diet.

A chronic gastritis diet should first begin with a fast for two to three days. You may only drink fruit juices in these three days. This allows the inflammation to subside and also helps eliminate the excess toxins from the body. This should be followed by an all-fruit diet for another three days or so. You may eat fruits such as grapes, apples, pineapples, oranges, melons, peaches, and grapefruits during this period. You may then start consuming a well-balanced diet that includes nuts, seeds, grains, fruits, and vegetables.

A diet for gastritis sufferers should also exclude the excessive use of tobacco, spices, alcohol, red pepper, strong tea, coffee, pickles, and sour food. Care should be taken not to mix too many different types of food at the same meal. You should also not eat your meals in a hurry, but make sure you eat in a relaxing and pleasing atmosphere.

Gastritis Nutrition

Gastritis and Gastroenteritis are two medical conditions that can cause a person extreme discomfort if left untreated. Gastritis is a condition where the stomach lining gets inflamed. These inflamed lesions may either be chronic or acute. Symptoms that crop up in the case of gastritis are vomiting, nausea, dizziness, headache, and loss of appetite. In some cases the tongue may be coated, excessive saliva flow, reduced flow of urination, uneasiness, foul breath, and depression. More chronic cases of gastritis cause heartburn, constipation, and, at times, diarrhea. Gastritis may occur due to various reasons; such as, frequent overeating, poorly cooked food, frequent excessive consumption of alcoholic, strong tea or coffee, excessive use of condiments or sauces, stress, grief, anxiety, certain drugs, etc. There are several remedies and dietary foods that can be taken to control this condition. It is essential for a person suffering from this condition to adopt a well balanced gastritis diet. A gastritis diet includes adequate consumption of coconut water. Coconut water provides the stomach with the necessary vitamins and minerals it requires to heal faster. It is advisable to avoid consuming any food or liquid except coconut water for the first 24 hours of a gastritis attack. This gives the stomach the ability to heal itself and return to its normal condition. Another excellent remedy that is an effective gastritis treatment is rice gruel. Consume at least one cup of rice gruel, twice a day. Another helpful remedy included in a gastritis diet is potato juice. Half a cup of potato juice should be consumed twice daily, an hour before each meal. After the intense symptoms subside, it would be advisable to follow an all fruit diet for a few days. It is essential to avoid consumption of alcohol, pastries, sweets, cottage cheese, cakes, aerated water, yoghurt, chilies, pickles, strong tea or coffee, and smoking.
Gastroenteritis on the other hand is a condition where the stomach and the intestines get inflamed. This results in diarrhea and vomiting, which are largely caused by some viral infection. Gastroenteritis diets require adequate consumption of fresh fruit juices, or flat soda. This helps to considerably reduce the pain. Once the intense pain is abated, it would be advisable to include in your gastroenteritis diet apple sauce, bananas, and white rice. Avoid any dairy products, citrus or greasy foods, alcohol, and caffeine. Refrain from large meals, instead have small meals evenly spaced through the day.

Gastritis Diet and Treatment for Gastritis

The main goal to achieve in case of gastritis is to minimize any experience of symptoms and fast recovery. For this an easy to digest, mildly flavored diet is considered good for most people with gastritis. All fruits and vegetables are low in fat and provide good amounts of much needed vitamins, minerals and fiber. But some vegetables can aggravate certain symptoms after consumption. For instance if you suffer from heartburn then it would be wise to avoid citrus fruits and vegetables, as well as tomato based fatty gravies, tomato juice and other citrus juices. Certain vegetables can cause excessive flatulence for some when consumed raw or in cooked form. Some of these vegetables include onions, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber and peas. But you need not avoid all these vegetables altogether. Learn to identify which vegetable is a triggering factor in your case and limit its consumption till your gastritis is healed. For example cabbage may cause flatulence and bloating in some persons with gastritis, but if you are comfortable after eating cabbage then you need not restrict cabbage consumption. In fact if none of the vegetables cause any problem in your case, then there is no need to restrict any vegetables.
Remember vegetables are not the only triggers for the symptoms of gastritis. Other foods like caffeine and tea, spices like garlic, red chili, chili powder, black pepper, red pepper, hot peppers, alcohol, smoking, tobacco consumption and sodas, carbonated beverages, colas, cocoa, mint, chocolate, fatty foods and fried foods can all irritate your stomach lining and can cause pain. Before restricting any foods, particularly those that are rich in nutrients, like vegetables and fruits, consult your health care specialist.
It is also important that you keep the following points in mind for treating gastritis –

  • Eat meals at regular intervals preferably at the same time of the day. Eat small divided meals instead of only 2 meals a day.Keep at least a minimum gap of 3 hours between your meal time and sleeping time. Also avoid any kind of strenuous activity immediately after eating your meal. A simple walk or a low impact activity is fine. Avoid smoking completely. Also avoid any kind of stress, whether physical or emotional. Practice certain relaxation techniques like deep breathing, yoga or meditation to relax.
Certain medications can also cause inflammation of the stomach lining, especially non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and some pain killers. So before taking any medication either or not for gastritis it is wise to consult a specialist.

  • Comments About Treating Cancer

Treating cancer can be compared to fighting a fire. In many cases you don't need a fire truck, but in some cases one or more fire trucks are required!!
For those who are very advanced, and have only a short time to live, there are only two protocols that are strong enough and start working fast enough, to give these cancer patients real hope for survival:
    The Cellect-Budwig Protocol or
    The Cesium Chloride Protocol
These two protocols, the "super protocols," are in a league of their own when it comes to initial power and fast-starting. The reason is that both of these protocols quickly protect the non-cancerous cells plus create a highly alkaline environment inside the cancer cells (not in the bloodstream). This very quickly slows down the spreading of the cancer!! This fact has been known since the 1970s and probably before that.
For those who choose not to go on the Cellect-Budwig or the Cesium Chloride protocol, and if their protocol does not include a significant alkaline substance, and they are not on a powerful alkaline diet, they should use the Barefoot Calcium Protocol (see the left side-bar) to make sure they get a critical alkaline substance in their protocol.
For advanced cancer patients, it is the spreading of cancer that almost always kills them. It is generally not the cancer cells that kill a person, it is the damage done to "healthy" cells (because of the cancer cells) that kills them. That is why the first priority in treating advanced cancer patients is to protect the non-cancerous cells with super-nutrients and stop the spreading of the cancer with alkalinity!!
These two protocols stop the spreading of cancer better than any other treatment and both contain supplements to protect the non-cancerous cells.
Note that the GB-4000 with M.O.P.A., by itself, is not one of the fastest-starting treatments. While it is a stand-alone treatment for cancer, and it does start working very quickly, it cannot match the ability of alkalinity to slow down the spreading of cancer.
The reason I recommend the GB-4000 with M.O.P.A. with the Cellect-Budwig, is that they are very complementary or synergistic treatments, meaning the two treatments combined are far better than either protocol by itself!! The Cellect-Budwig starts working very fast, but the M.O.P.A. does some things far better than the Cellect-Budwig.
Unfortunately, cesium chloride cannot be used with any of the above electromedicine protocols because most electromedicine protocols will neutralize the way cesium chloride works. But there is at least one electromedicine device that can be used with cesium chloride, the MRS-2000.
However, many cancer patients do not need the kind of horsepower that the Cellect-Budwig plus M.O.P.A. or the Cesium Chloride provide, especially if they are newly diagnosed patients or they have not had very much chemotherapy and radiation. Many alternative cancer treatments can do very well for cancer patients who have at least 6 months to live (if they did nothing).
These patients might want to "skip" Phase 1 and jump right into Phase 2 and then Phase 3. Actually, these patients have several options, depending on their budget:
    1) Skip Phase 1 of this protocol and start with the Plasma-Beck and ultimately go on Phase 3,
    2) Use the Rife-Beck, Ultimate Simple Protocol or Dirt Cheap Protocol or any of the scores of other protocols or treatments mentioned on this website.
Let us consider another situation. What if a person has a very aggressive pancreatic cancer or aggressive lung cancer that has already spread to the bones?
Alternative cancer treatments can be rated according to their "power" to deal with fast-spreading cancers, dangerous cancers or cancers that have already spread extensively.
As you might suspect, the Cellect-Budwig (hopefully with the GB-4000 M.O.P.A.) and the Cesium Chloride (possibly with the MRS-2000) are the protocols to pick from!! The alkalinity of these two protocols, at the cellular level, help slow down the spread of cancer!!
If a tumor is in a dangerous location, and needs to be shrunk quickly, these two protocols are the best choice. In this case it is important to understand that the Cesium Chloride protocol can cause a tumor to swell temporarily or create temporary inflammation. Frequently this is not a problem, but in some cases it is critical to understand because the Cesium Chloride protocol may need to be started with only half-doses (the vendor can help you decide) if temporary inflammation could be a problem.
Warning: The Cellect-Budwig protocol and Cesium Chloride protocol CANNOT be combined. There is too much overlap in the way these protocols work to safely combine them!! This is just one example of alternative cancer treatments that cannot be combined with each other.
The Bob Beck Protocol, which is part of the second and third protocols above, is considered a long-range cancer treatment. It can take 2 or 3 months for the Bob Beck Protocol to really kick-in and even longer to really supercharge the immune system. That is why the Bob Beck Protocol does not even show up in this article until the second and third phases.
Another key element of a home protocol is expert telephone support. The Cellect-Budwig protocol is supported by cancer researcher Mike Vrentas for about $225 (which includes 5 hours of audio CDs and a two hour telephone consultation). The Cesium Chloride is supported by Larry of Essense-of-Life (not a misprint) for free (because he sells the key products).
The Bill Henderson protocol, which is very inexpensive and very potent, is supported by Bill Henderson for about $200, but he has a book to go along with his "coaching" instead of audio CDs. The oleander protocol is supported by a Yahoo chat group which is monitored by several experts (oleander is not recommended for fast-spreading cancer or cancers that have already spread significantly). And so on.
Also, on this website there are special articles for special types of cancer. Many kinds of cancer have unique problems that need to be dealt with.
For example, melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, sarcoma and uterine cancer are cancers that require treatments which clean the blood of microbes every 12 hours.
For these patients the Cellect-Budwig and GB-4000 may be used first to deal with the damage done by the cancer, but it is absolutely critical that these patients then use the Plasma-Beck protocol (after the spreading of the cancer is under control), which is more focused on dealing with microbes in the blood (which is how these types of cancer spread so quickly). For example, the Plasma-Beck has the GB-4000 with M.O.P.A., the Bob Beck Protocol, MSM/CS and LIPH, which all deal with microbes.
Breast cancer is almost always caused by dental infections which travel through the lymph system to the breast(s). These dental infections need to be dealt with by very, very specialized and rare dentists. Not even "biological dentists" are qualified to deal with these infections. And the person supporting the cancer protocol must understand the key issues in dealing with the infections. Mike Vrentas (Cellect-Budwig) and Bill Henderson are the key experts in this area.
See the left side-bar to see if your type of cancer is mentioned.
Also, review other articles, as you get time, which may apply to your situation (especially the "Special Situations" article, which is required reading).

Overview of the Best Cancer Treatment

What if someone were to ask me any of the following questions:
"What would I do if I got cancer?" or
"What would I recommend if my spouse or any of our children got cancer?" or
"What is the best alternative cancer treatment for advanced cancer patients?"
For most kinds of cancer, my answer to all of these questions would be the same sequence of treatments:
Phase 1) I would first use the Cellect-Budwig Protocol (or an equivalent protocol),
Phase 2) Then I would use the Plasma-Beck Protocol,
Phase 3) Then I would use the Ultimate Simple Protocol phased into the Bob Beck Protocol.
Notice that this is a sequence of three different alternative cancer treatment protocols. Each of these protocols has a different purpose in the healing process and the sequence is very important, as will be explained below.
(Note: Most of the individual treatments and protocols in this article are linked to on the left side-bar. Thus, if you see something like "MSM/CS," there is a good chance there is an article on that protocol which is linked to on the left side-bar.)
Phase 1 of this protocol (i.e. the Cellect-Budwig protocol) is a combination of several nutritional protocols (headed by the product Cellect) plus an electromedicine treatment. Its primary job is to stop the spreading of the cancer and energize the non-cancerous cells (to "buy time," meaning keep the patient alive to give the patient more time to treat their cancer). But it does many other things as well.
Nutritional protocols, such as the Cellect-Budwig, Eniva Vibe, etc. are designed to supercharge the energy of cells and do a variety of other things. More will said about nutritional protocols in a moment.
Electromedicine protocols are designed to either revert cancer cells into normal cells or to remove microbes from the bloodstream and thus supercharge the immune system (and then let the immune system take care of the cancer cells).
Unlike the totally barbaric electromedicine treatments of orthodox medicine (e.g. radiation), in alternative medicine the electromedicine protocols are very, very gentle!! Typically, a person will not even feel that the electromedicine device is turned on!! Talk about gentle!! Some people turn the GB-4000 M.O.P.A. on and go to bed (it is like a small radio tower). It will turn itself off according to your program.
An electromedicine device in alternative medicine is generally a device that creates one or more gentle electrical currents or broadcasts an electromagnetic field either continuously or in pulses. These currents or fields are designed specifically to kill microbes which are inside of the cancer cells (that is why they have a carrier wave). This allows the cancer cells to safely revert into

    Diet Details and Warnings

Most raw food diets exclude all meats, all poultry, all fish and all dairy products (sometimes they allow butter because of its fat). There are several reasons why. Here is a quote from one article:
    • "Eating cooked food prevents the immune system from working on what is really important in keeping us superbly healthy and young in body, mind and soul. We exhaust and dissipate the body's strength by using the immune system to combat the unnatural cooked foods, chemically based supplements, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, hormones (in meats, poultry, fish and dairy) and numerous other toxins we ingest, breathe in or absorb through our skin. When we really need the immune system to support us (as when a disease or infection develops or an injury occurs), it then lacks the strength to defend us properly."
    And another one:
    • "Foods to avoid: all animal products, especially proteins and fats, i.e. no cooked meat, fat, eggs, milk, etc.; all refined sugars and starches; carbohydrates; oils; eat only fresh raw fruit and vegetables, juices and extracts."
Another issue is glucose. Carrots have a high level of glucose. This glucose is readily taken in by cancer cells. When the glucose is taken in so are the nutrients in the carrots, etc. that kill cancer cells. Cancer cells steal from normal cells not only glucose, but nutrients as well.
When a person combines other foods high in glucose with the vegetable juice or fruit juice, then the cancer cells are getting glucose from multiple sources and they may be getting a lot of nutrients from these other foods. These other nutrients may not kill cancer cells as well as carrot juice and some of the other vegetable juices.
In other words, do not consume vegetables or fruits, which contain high levels of glucose, unless they are cancer-killing vegetables or fruits.
In other words, mixing these juices with foods that contain high levels of glucose DILUTES the amount of cancer-killing nutrients that get into the cancer cells, making the treatment LESS effective!!

    Vegetables Juices

As an alternative to a vegetable juice, you could also make a fruit juice. Unlike the vegetable juice, for which you should only take 1 to 2 quarts of carrot juice per day, there is no limit to how many fruit juices you can have each day.
RAW fruits you should focus on are: purple grapes (with skins and seeds), red raspberries, black raspberries, strawberries, and other non-citrus fruits, with their seeds, especially peaches and apricots (the seed is inside a hard shell). Actually, any fruit with dark blue or dark purple coloring is acceptable, such as blueberries. Raw pineapple is especially good if you can get it and afford it. Tomatoes also have cancer fighting nutrients.
Here is a sample of the known cancer-killing nutrients in fruits:
    Raw pineapple (bromelain and pexoxidase),
Whole purple grapes with seeds and skins (more than a dozen, see Grape Cure article),
    Apricot seeds (laetrile),
Strawberries, red raspberries, black raspberries (laetrile and ellagic acid),
    Blueberries (ellagic acid, anthrocyanins, OPC),
At least 80% or above of the fruit juice should come from fruits with known cancer-fighting abilities.
Obviously this is a modification of the Brandt Grape Cure, in the sense that a wider variety of cancer-killing fruits is allowed.
Also allowed on the "fruit juice fast" are the super-fruit juices: mangosteen, noni and wolfberry or goji. These are allowed during a "fruit juice fast" in unlimited quantities during the 12 hours the person is allowed to eat.

    Vegetables Juices

    1. The RAW vegetables you should focus on are: carrots, cabbage, green asparagus, broccoli, red beets (i.e. beetroot), beet tops, cauliflower and related vegetables. Peppers also have cancer fighting substances. The spice turmeric can be added as well.
    2. AS A MINIMUM, the vegetable juice should include:
      1) Carrot juice (1 to 2 quarts/liters),
      2) Beet juice (from at least 2 red beets, with their beet tops)
      3) A significant amount of cruciferous vegetables including: broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower (this is for both the cancer and the critical protection of the liver)
    3. Important Note: Beetroot can cause the urine of a person to turn red. Thus, if you take beetroot and your urine turns red, it is not necessarily blood in the urine.
    4. A small and decreasing amount of fruit juices which contain very little glucose can be added for taste (more will be said about this issue below). Not all vegetables can be eaten raw, but the ones above can be eaten raw or juiced. You can also EAT any of these vegetables during your treatment to get bulk and fiber.
    5. Here are just a few of the cancer cell killing nutrients (direct or indirect) in vegetables:
Raw Carrots (alpha carotene, beta carotene, Vitamin E, etc.),
      Raw Broccoli (sulforaphanes/isothiocyanates),
      Raw cabbage (isothiocyanates),
      Green Asparagus (saponins),
      Beetroot/red beets (proanthocyanidins (PAC's or OPC's)), and
      Turmeric (a spice) (curcurmin).
    6. A vegetable juice using 1 quart of carrots is the minimum level of carrots that is acceptable. Vegetable juices with 2 quarts of carrots has also been used by many people.
    7. At least 80% or above of the vegetable juice should come from vegetables with known cancer-fighting abilities, although other vegetables are not far behind the ones I just mentioned.

    A Note About Carrots vegetable

A special note about carrots is in order. Like virtually all vegetables, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of phytonutrients (i.e. nutrients in plants not otherwise classified) in carrots that have not yet been identified or tested for cancer-fighting abilities. It may be that we do not yet know the best cancer-fighting nutrient in carrots, but based on many testimonials and some books, carrots may be the best cancer-fighting vegetable of all.
    • "In a review of 206 human studies, carrots consistently emerged as one of the top cancer-fighting foods. The power of carrots lies in the group of pigments called carotenoids (beta-carotene is among this group), which give them their orange color."
Source For Quote No Longer Exists
A long-time and highly reliable friend of mine (in fact, my wife and I had our wedding reception at her home more than 35 years ago), told me about her friend's father, who completely cured his throat cancer with carrot juice. In other words, he ate nothing and drank nothing but carrot juice and natural water.
Closer to home, I have seen a clear pattern in the people I have interviewed, and testimonials that I have read, that carrot juice was the core element of their raw food diet. While the day may come that some other vegetable, such as beetroots (i.e. red beets), may be shown to be even better, until that day comes it would be advisable to make sure that carrots are the core of your vegetable juice.

    Important Notice for cancer treatment

This article will discuss an effective vegetable juice drink for treating cancer. This vegetable juice can be used in two different ways.
First, by far the MOST EFFECTIVE way to use this vegetable juice is to use it as part of a "juice fast," meaning a person eats NOTHING but the vegetable juice and water during the treatment, sometimes for 3 or 4 or 5 weeks at a time.
Some items can be added to this vegetable juice treatment which will add value to the treatment and will not interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment. These things are discussed at the end of the Brandt Grape Cure article.
This treatment is actually described in the Brandt Grape Cure article and is accomplished by substituting the vegetable juice (described in this article) for the grapes and grape juice (described in the Brandt Grape Cure article). In other words, you will use the Brandt Grape Cure article for the treatment, but substitute the vegetable juice (in this article) for the grapes and grape juice (in the Brandt Grape Cure article).
Let me say this another way. You will use the Brandt Grape Cure article as the TREATMENT for cancer, but you will substitute "vegetable juice" (in this article) for the "grapes and grape juice" (in the Brandt Grape Cure article). You will NOT USE BOTH grapes and vegetable juices, it is one or the other.

    WARNING ABOUT VITAMIN - K

There are many very healthy foods which contain significant levels of vitamin k. Vitamin k is needed by the body for blood clotting, however, too much vitamin k can contribute to the creation of blood clots in some situations. No more than 25% to 30% of a person's diet should consist of foods high in vitamin K, which include:
Broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, collard greens, cucumber peel (i.e. the skin), endive, green scallion, lettuce, mustard greens, spinach, turnip green, and watercress. Garlic should be avoided for other reasons and onions should be eaten in moderation.

While proteolytic enzymes are blood thinners, it is best not to try and balance blood clotting foods and blood thinners. It is best to use moderation on both sides of the issue.

    Raw Food Treatment

Definition: While the term "raw food" means food eaten without cooking, in the context of a cancer diet, a "raw food" diet is a vegan type of diet, where the vast majority of fruits and vegetables that are consumed are known to kill cancer cells, directly or indirectly. In other words, the phrase "raw food" on this web page does not mean a random selection of uncooked vegetables and fruits, but a very selective subset of vegetables and fruits specifically selected to treat cancer.
If the day ever comes that Big Pharma and its obedient puppy-dogs ever succeed in achieving their goal of total suppression of our availability to vitamin and mineral supplements, fear not, there are food diets perfectly capable of curing cancer. All you need is a juicer and perhaps a food processor if you can afford both.
Cooking food destroys 100% of all enzymes in a food. Because many foods contain the necessary enzymes needed to digest that food (and get the nutrients out of the food), cooking food places a great burden on our body and does not allow you to get as many nutrients out of the food. Actually, cooking food does damage to the value of the food in over two dozen different ways (see the links at the bottom of the page).
While it may be true that some nutrients are made more readily available by cooking, overall, it is better to eat vegetables raw than cooked, boiled or broiled. Some vegetables, however, are generally, but not always, cooked, such as peas and green beans, to name but two.
Also, there are two advantages to juicing vegetables and fruits. First, juicing makes the nutrients in a fruit or vegetable more digestible by the body, meaning more of the nutrients are extracted from the vegetables or fruits with less of the obstructing fibers. The second advantage is that you can consume a lot more vegetables (particularly vegetables and fruits with cancer killing nutrients) in a shorter amount of time and with a lot less effort. Juicing is an excellent way to consume your fruits and vegetables.
The bad thing about juicing is that the nutrients are not extracted sufficiently from the seeds or skins of some key vegetables and fruits. If you are eating a food where the seeds and/or skins contain key cancer fighting nutrients (e.g. purple grapes), you should not use a juicer for the seeds or skin, but rather use a food processor or use a hand grinder, to grind the seeds and skins to make mush.
There are many different raw food diets. The first thing you need to understand is that not all vegetables and fruits are equal in their ability to treat cancer. Remember, our main purpose here is to treat cancer. Your fruit and vegetable juice should be massively unbalanced with the vegetables and fruits that have the best cancer-killing nutrients. If you randomly put fruits and vegetables in your juice, the benefits of the juice will be greatly decreased!!
